1. About the Church and the Site
Vision Baptist Church is an Independent, Fundamental, King James Bible believing Baptist church and nonprofit religious organization in Millers Creek, North Carolina. The Site shares information about the Church, our beliefs, service times, ministries, missions, sermons and announcements, and allows visitors to contact us and to request gospel tracts and booklets from our Printing Ministry (also known as Vision Baptist Press). The Site is provided for ministry and informational purposes.
2. Eligibility
The Site is intended for a general audience. You may submit a form or request literature only if you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), please use the Site’s forms with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian. By using the Site’s forms, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are permitted to provide it.
3. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects the Church and others. You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, abusive, threatening, harassing, obscene or unlawful content;
- impersonate another person or submit another person’s information without permission;
- send spam, advertisements or unsolicited promotions through our forms;
- place bulk or fraudulent literature requests, or requests intended for resale;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or accounts, or interfere with its security or operation;
- upload or transmit viruses, malware or other harmful code;
- use automated tools (such as bots or scrapers) to access, copy or submit content to the Site in a way that burdens it, except for legitimate search engine indexing; or
- use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
We may block access, decline requests, or remove content at our discretion if we believe these Terms have been violated.
4. Printing Ministry literature requests
- Provided at no cost. Tracts, booklets and other literature are provided free of charge, as the Lord provides for the ministry. Prices shown on the Site as $0.00 reflect this. No payment information is requested or collected.
- Availability and quantities. Literature is offered while supplies last. We may limit quantities, substitute similar titles, combine or split shipments, or decline or cancel any request at our discretion, including requests that appear to be automated, duplicated, fraudulent or for resale.
- Not a sale. A literature request is a request for a free gift, not a purchase. Submitting a request does not create a contract of sale, and we are not obligated to fill every request. The words “cart” and “checkout” on the Site are used only to collect your request.
- Shipping and delivery. We ship within the United States and, where possible, to other countries. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. International recipients are responsible for complying with local laws regarding the importation of printed religious materials and for any customs duties, taxes or fees charged by their country.
- Delivery issues. If literature arrives damaged, incomplete or not at all, please let us know through our Contact form by choosing “Printing Ministry: Tract Order or Delivery Issue.” We will do our best to help, but we are not responsible for delays or losses caused by postal services or carriers.
- Use of literature. Literature is provided to spread the gospel. You may distribute printed tracts you receive from us freely, but you may not sell them or alter them and present them as materials of the Church.
5. Gifts and donations
If you choose to support the Church or its Printing Ministry with a gift, your gift is voluntary and is made to further the Church’s ministry. No goods or services are provided in exchange for a gift, and literature is provided free whether or not you give. Gifts are used at the discretion of the Church for its ministry purposes and are generally non-refundable, except in the case of a clear error (such as a duplicate gift), which you should report to us promptly. Please consult your own tax advisor about whether and how your gift may be deductible.
6. Messages, prayer requests and other submissions
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for the information you send us. Please do not submit anything you do not have the right to share.
- Prayer requests. Prayer requests may be shared with the pastor and with those who pray for others, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you would like a request kept confidential or shared without your name, please say so in your message.
- Not for emergencies. The Site and its forms are not monitored at all times. If you or someone else is in danger or experiencing an emergency, call 911 (in the United States) or your local emergency number. If you are in emotional crisis in the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
- Use of feedback. If you send us suggestions or ideas about the Site or the Church’s ministries, you agree that we may use them without obligation to you.
- No confidential or professional relationship. Sending a message through the Site does not by itself create a counseling, pastoral or other professional relationship.
7. Announcements and communications
If you ask to receive church announcements, you agree that we may send you emails about services, special meetings and church news. You can stop receiving them at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in an email or by contacting us. We will also send you messages related to your inquiries or literature requests.
8. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, page designs, audio and the Church’s name, are owned by Vision Baptist Church or used with permission from their owners, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Tract and booklet titles and artwork may be the property of their respective authors or publishers.
You may view the Site and print or share pages for personal, non-commercial and ministry use, provided you do not modify the content and you keep any copyright notices. Scripture quotations on the Site are from the King James Version, which is in the public domain in the United States. Except as stated here, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify or create derivative works from the Site’s content without our written permission. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site contains links to, and embedded content from, websites and services we do not own or control, such as SermonAudio, gospel radio stations, Facebook, Google Maps and other ministries. We provide these links for your convenience. Their inclusion does not mean we endorse everything they publish, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or privacy practices. Your use of third-party websites and services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Site and all content, literature and information on it are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or availability. We do our best to keep service times, event details and other information current, but schedules can change, so please call the Church at 336-838-1611 to confirm before traveling.
Content on the Site reflects the Church’s religious beliefs and teaching. It is not legal, medical, financial, psychological or other professional advice. Please consult a qualified professional for advice about your specific situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vision Baptist Church and its pastors, officers, members, volunteers and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any literature or content provided through it, even if we have been told such damages are possible. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent the law allows, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Vision Baptist Church and its pastors, officers, members and volunteers from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of the rights of another person.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute related to the Site are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, we ask that you first contact us so we can try to resolve it informally and in a spirit of Christian charity. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that it will be brought only in the state courts located in Wilkes County, North Carolina, or the federal courts for the Western District of North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your country or state gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
14. International users and consumer rights
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you are responsible for complying with local laws. If you live in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom or another country with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms takes away the rights you have under those laws. Because literature is provided free of charge and no purchase is made, consumer purchase and withdrawal rules generally do not apply to literature requests.
15. Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use the Site. If you have difficulty accessing any part of it, please contact us and we will do our best to provide the information you need in another way.
16. Copyright concerns
We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, please send us a notice with: your contact information; a description of the copyrighted work; the page where the material appears; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. Send notices to the contact details in section 19. We will review notices and remove material where appropriate, consistent with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
17. Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site, including the Printing Ministry request feature, at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide a more prominent notice. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
18. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the Church about the Site.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganization of the Church or its ministries.
- Survival. Sections that by their nature should continue after your use of the Site ends (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law) will continue.
- Headings. Headings are for convenience only.
